Congrats to the boys varsity team for qualifying for the state championship meet. This is the 1st time a Meridian boys team has qualified since 2002. The boys lowered their 1-5 pack time to 24 seconds. Come cheer them on at state this Saturday at 2:30 PM as they race at Eagle Island.
The JV boys ended their season on a high note with Connor Hewitt leading the way, followed closely by Stephen Berkheiser. Many of the boys had huge season bests. We look forward to see how these guys improve over the off-season and can compete for varsity spots next fall.
The ladies ran a courageous race, but fell a little short of their goals. Sarah Walsh ended her senior XC season with a huge PR. Mikayla Grigg and Molly Nesbitt also had nice personal improvements. A big “nice job” to the 3 JV girls who finished out their season with a competitive effort. Hannah Uhlenkott is going to be HUGE for the Warriors next fall.
